Little Yellow School Bus

Yes, it’s true! The little yellow school bus pulled up in front of my house right on time this morning. The doors opened and King Ben climbed the stairs and went to the seat the aide showed him. Then the bus pulled away from the curb and it was Happy Dance time!

Actually, I had a doctor’s appointment this morning so his mama put him on the bus but I imagine it happened just that way. I did the Happy Dance after I got home from my appointment.

His teacher called and said he had a good day. YAY! We met her yesterday. She’s new. He’s in the same classroom though so not everything was different.

The start of school means the return of schedules. The return of free time for me and the return of interaction with his peers for him.

We made it through another summer break. It was rough on all of us but I think we’re going to be okay now.

Thank you to all my WordPress peeps. Your love and support really carried me and kept me going when things we’re at their worst.

I’m still Happy Dancing!

    1. Thank you so much for everything! I’m hoping to rest so my brain can start processing the latest development. Maybe a post would be a place to start??? I’ll have to ponder a bit more…

    1. Thanks so much! I used to feel bad about getting so excited when he went back to school. I felt like horrible to be happy “sending him away”. I realize he needs to get away from me too. For the most part he enjoys school so there’s nothing to feel bad about.๐ŸšŒ๐Ÿซ๐Ÿ’ƒ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿ’–

    1. It’s sounds like you’ve had a nice trip. Too much “family time” usually has kiddos ready to get away. Even if that means back to school๐Ÿ˜
I’m loving this group Happy Dance party๐ŸŽ‰๐ŸŽŠ๐Ÿ’ƒโœจ๐ŸŒ ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŽ†๐ŸŽ‡

  3. Yes, it has been busy and lovely! They do seem eager to get back to a school routine, so that’s a plus. Yes, group happy dance is making me grin, too. ๐Ÿ˜€

    1. All the old clichรฉs like “It’s darkest before dawn” always run through my mind during difficult times and I know that things will get better. It’s just so hard to keep slugging through when I’m in the middle of it. Thank you for your thoughts and prayers! Folks like you and the rest of my WordPress family truly gave me strength โฃ๐Ÿ’๐ŸŒท๐Ÿ•Š

  4. We always called it the “freedom dance” when kids went back to school or went down for a nap.
Now I work as a nanny for a 9month old and I still do a dance when i put her down.

We need a breather once in a while too.

    Cheers!
