Hey all my awesome WP dudes! It’s been a while since I’ve posted because I haven’t really had anything good to say and I can’t stand when people just complain about everything all the time. I don’t wanna be that dude.
Things are pretty much where they were last time I posted. There are two differences. On October first I got my yearly settlement check so financially we are waaaay better off. The second difference is that King Ben’s med doctor is switching things around. We are completely stopping one med, phasing out a second med, and adding a new med. Poor little guy is now on two anti-psychoctics, plus a benzo “as needed”. I asked about cannabis and the doctor couldn’t give us a Rx but said it’s worth a try. We even have access to a high CBD, extremely low THC oil called Charlotte’s Web at a discount since Auntie is working at a dispensary now. Mama is worried that Child Protective Services is gonna swoop down & snatch the King if we try it though. I’m still working on convincing her. It HAS to be better than the major pharmacuticals!
So life is still throwing lemons at me. I’m hangin in there though. Got my head down and putting one foot in front of the other. I’ll be back to posting more regularly soon. Well, hopefully soon.

Hopefully things get better soon. I’m glad you live in a forward thinking state that has legal cannabis. Here’s hoping the cannabis oil helps.

I think the cannabis oil would really be better. Charlotte’s Web is a strain that was created specifically for a little girl with a siezure disorder so there’s no “high” to it. If I can only convince Ben’s Mama…

I will definitely post results if/when we do the cannabis. I’m trying to find a doctor that will write the official paperwork for a 9yr old. It’s ridiculous that he can take 2 anti-psychoctics and a benzo but cannabis could get him removed from our care.
As for seizures, Charlotte’s Web CBD oil was formulated specifically for a little girl with a seizure disorder.

Yeah, you hate to see the little guy on such hard meds – the cannabis oil would be so much lighter and better for his system since it is natural. Can’t wait for it to be legalized, especially for Ben! I understand your daughter’s concern though, completely. But it sounds like the med doctor didn’t say, “hey no way.” So, that should earn a point in the “let’s give it a try” on the decision tree. Anyway, GREAT to hear from you, glad the check came and gave you some relief. Been thinking of you guys! Hugs!! 🙂

There are some doctors that will give recommendations for pediatric use but they are few and far between. I just ordered a book written by one so we’ll see if there are resources listed in it. We’re lucky to be in California and for cannabis to even be an option.
It’s supposed to be 104° here today. Not exactly fall weather. We’re all ready for it to cool down for sure. Heat & high pressure make Ben more agitated. Poor little guy.

I was gonna say something about making lemonade in the post. Something like… “I try to make lemonade but I don’t have enough sugar and it’s too sour” but that’s just more complaining 😕😯😩

Three cheers for settlement checks! I know they don’t make anybody rich, but at least it’s something, and I hope it eases at least some of the strain at least for a while <3. I'm glad they're adjusting things around with King Ben! I hope that the new regimen is a positive change and that it makes all of your lives easier ❤ ❤

Yeah! It’s nice having a full fridge & cabinets! We weren’t starving before but it was pretty grim eating pasta and rice so much.
Now if the weather would cool off and most importantly, we could get poor Ben sorted, I’d be the happiest dude on Earth!
