It’s My Birthday๐ŸŽ‰๐ŸŽ‚๐Ÿ’ƒ

On this date, February 24th, in the year 1968, I was born. I came into this world weighing a whopping 10lbs 5oz (4.67kg). I was 23 inches (58.42cm) in length. My poor Mom.

I decided last year when I hit the Big 5-0 that I was going to remain fifty for five years and then be fifty-five for five years. Then, at sixty, do the same.

It’s not that I mind aging. It does kinda blow my mind when I think about it. I don’t really feel fifty. I don’t really feel any age. My body feels much older at times but that’s the Fibromyalgia.

The reason I’ve decided to age in five year increments is because I can never remember what my age is. I spent my entire forties with a blank look and a long pause whenever I was asked my age. It was generally doctors that asked. I think (hope) I’ll be able to remember five year increments. And if the doctors don’t like the inaccurate age, they can do the math themselves. They have my date of birth with everything else.

So, Happy 50th Birthday to me…again๐Ÿ˜œ

  1. It’s weird how this happens when you get to a certain age over 40 and you have to remind yourself of your age. Or your mom’s age. Or someone’s age…Count backwards from the birth date, etc. lol

    Happy birthday!

  2. Happy 50th Birthday!!! ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿง ๐Ÿจ ๐Ÿฆ ๐Ÿฅง ๐Ÿฐ ๐ŸŽ‚ ๐Ÿฎ ๐Ÿญ I did the same thing on my 50th. I claimed I would stay there for at least a minimal of 5 years.

        1. I have a Batman onesie (with cape๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿ˜‚) and an Eeyore onesie cuz Eeyore is my favorite. Neither has the butt flap so while they’re warm and super cute, potty time is chilling๐Ÿ˜ฏ The butt flap makes aallllll the difference.๐Ÿ‘ I may not take them off til the temp hits 70๐Ÿ™Š๐Ÿ˜‰ or at least 65๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

    1. Thanks Robyn๐Ÿ˜˜ It’s weird, you’re the 4th or 5th of my core group that either shares a birthday with me or one of my family, or has a relative that does. It’s another synchronicity I’ve found with my WP Family.

I stayed in my jammies all day. King Ben was still King Ben๐Ÿ˜• but it was a good 50th birthday ๐Ÿ˜‰

  4. Happiest birthdays to you friend. Hope someone is baking you a cake ๐ŸŽ‚.

Be proud of 50. I keep reminding myself Iโ€™m only as old as I feel. Age is just a number. Get out there and celebrate. You deserve it.

  5. Happy birthday! I wasn’t on here yesterday, so I didn’t get to say it in time. I find the 5 year increments kind of neat. I don’t want to do it myself, but it means you don’t have to deal with bland, boring or awkward and ugly numbers. I’m 46 now. Zzzzz…next up: 47. What kind of spindly stick number is that? Etc. But numbers ending in 5 or 0 are always nice.

    1. Thank you! ๐Ÿ’Œ
How boring is 51?! It’s not even a prime number. Yep, numbers ending in 5 or 0 are neater. My younger daughter has mild OCD and gets agitated if radio or TV volume isn’t in numbers ending in 5 or 0. The temp on the oven, microwave timer…
A bunch of interesting adaptations going on in our house with all autistic King Ben, OCD Auntie, Empath, HSP grandma… even the cat and dog have their quirky moments๐Ÿ˜‚
