This past weekend has been extra difficult. A lot, a LOT of little things that made off line life demand my attention. I didn’t get to spam up everybody’s comments like usual. Normally I would feel pressure to “catch up”, but I’m not going to stress myself about it. I’ve had enough stress, I dont need to add unnecessary stuff to it.
I’m writing this Sunday night. Ben is sleeping and I’m hoping he’ll stay that way. School starts tomorrow (Monday) and I’m very glad. I’m nearing the end of my stamina. I’m physically and mentally exhausted. If it weren’t for the support I get from my WP gang, I’d have probably cracked already.
I’m going to set this post to publish at the approximate time the bus is scheduled to be here. Thank you for helping me get through this! Especially JB with the daily countdown. That gave me something to look forward to every day.
Only 9 more days until Beckie gets to feel this feeling…
Hurrah! Wahoo! Yayyy! ππΆπ»

ππππ΄ Ben has been on a hair trigger for days and we’re walking on eggshells hoping to avoid the explosion. It’s been in the 90s too so, yeah…thank goodness for a few hours of peace and quiet.
And hurray, the bus comes tomorrow tooππ

Glad to hear your week is starting off well.I do remember the days and weeks while the kids were out of school for the summer and how I couldn’t wait for school to start.
Enjoy your freedom and do the “Happy Dance.”

I’m looking forward to the start of school too so I can go back to doing my grocery shopping at a less busy hour. Just a silly question, are all school buses yellow in the US? π π

Ya know, I think they areπ€ I’ve never seen or heard of a different color school bus.
Are they different colors other places? It is not a silly question, its very interesting.
I’ll bet you’re tired of all the nonsense going on in your city. Hopefully it’s far removed from your day to day life.

Part 2
I was curious about the busses so I googled. There is a special color “schoolbus yellow” that all school busses in the US must be painted. It’s for safety. It’s the most eye catching color.
Not a silly question at all.ππ

School buses come in different colours here and they are not as brightly coloured. The private school buses are usually smaller like vans but public school buses are big. When you talked about little yellow school bus, the first image that comes into my mind is Charlie Brown’s school bus. π π πΆ

Very close actually. He rides on a special ed short bus. During summer they sometimes use a big van.
His school is outside our district. Its actually in another city about 8 miles (12km) from our house.
