I’m Finally Doing It

I registered this blog four years ago today, but it took an additional two months to actually post something. (April 5, 2016) I guess my posting habits haven’t changed. I edited out my daughters’ initials and changed it to their blog names, and added an image; otherwise,  here’s the original First Post.)

I decided that I wanted to do a blog as kind of a journal and a history of my life. Since I’m a founding member of the Procrastinator’s Club it’s taken me a while to get started. Part of the problem is where to start. I think the best thing for me is to just go with it. Write whatever happens to flow out of my brain. So, let’s start…

My name is Angie. I’m a Gen X gal with two daughters. Older Daughter is a nurse & Younger Daughter is working on a teaching degree. Then there’s King Ben. He’s my autistic grandson and the ruler of our house. The four of us live together. My ex left about 8 years ago and it was good. He was abusive. I’m sure I’ll write more on that some other time. Ben’s dad has never been around. Also a good thing. I don’t work because I can’t. I have Fibromyalgia and a bunch of other stuff that makes me a disabled person. That’s what the judge said anyway. I receive SSDI so it must be true. I feel like a cheater & a faker sometimes but that’s just my dysfunctional childhood devil on my shoulder talking.

Anyway, in case you can’t tell, I’m wordy and go off on tangents. Welcome to my blog. I answer questions and take suggestions.

Living with fibromyalgia is NO easy task, and I admire your strength and respect the heck out of your effort 💓. I’m also extremely grateful and honored that you choose to share your life with me/us 💞. That’s awesome! I stand beside you in full support 😘💚💜

    1. Im amazed and so so grateful to have stumbled into your life! That’s it! I’m getting in my car & driving to Texas to give you an ginormous hug right now!!! Wait, I can’t go now. Dang! Okay, I’m mentally sending you a ginormous hug. I’m bigger than you (at 6′ I’m bigger than almost everybody) so don’t try to run away😝 BTW, love “meanie-butt”! Totally something I would say! My favorite swear…. “Jiminy Cricket”. Or if I’m really mad “Jiminy Cricket on motor-scooter”

    1. I couldn’t remember when I started or my first post. Ironically, Rory found my first post recently and brought it to my attention and WordPress sent me the notification of the anniversary today🤷🏼‍♀️
      I figured with two things flashing neon at me, I’d better acknowledge them😂

      1. One day when I’m in the mood to procrastinate (I mean more than usual) I will do some digging and check when I started. This is my third blog…and I started when my first born was an infant. He’s almost 15… 🙂

    1. Thank you Suzanne!😍🌻 WordPress isn’t being nice at the moment, I just found this comment in my 🤬Spam folder Not cool, At.All!😠 I think we’re all used to checking Spam periodically now🙄

      I can’t believe how much has changed for Ben in the 4 years. Good changes! A lot of good changes for me too. I’m still in my Zen groove💃🏼

      Older Daughter is off work tonight, so she will be getting HRH ready for school in the morning. Even if I get an early bounce, I don’t have to get up😘🎆🎉💃🏼

    1. Thanks! It’s been fun getting to know you and Son!💃🏼 Four years ago Ben was having daily meltdowns and school was crap, now the meltdowns are more rare and he’s in a fantastic school. I’m hoping to see things change for you and Son just the same way🤞🙏
