I was going to title this post The Bloke And I: Getting To Know You… but I wasn’t sure anyone would get my wacky sense of humor. Rory has the questions, I’ll provide the answers. Go check out A Guy Called Bloke if you haven’t already. Rory has great content, magical morning stars and a writing contest for followers, with cash prizes.
What’s your most favourite time of the day? – Now you can answer this with your quietest, your most productive, your most fun, busiest and so on, that’s your choice.
My very favoritist time of day is
Twilight. Especially during the late Spring/early Summer, the air is warm and has a glow from the just setting sun. It feels like a magical time to me. I wish it lasted just a little bit longer.
I also really like the hours that Ben is at school or when he’s asleep. Any parent of a human child, or a needy fur-child can relate, I’m sure.
What are four things you are continually grateful for?
I am grateful to have shelter, food, clean water and access to medical care. There are a LOT of homeless and hungry people in California. I can’t speak for the rest of the state, but SoCal has far, far too many. And there are too many people in too many places in the rest of the world to even list. I don’t have a lot of money, but I’m very wealthy.
I am grateful for the health and closeness of my family. Older Daughter and Ben live with me and Younger Daughter is just a few miles away. We text and/or talk daily, and see each other at least once a week.
I am grateful for the lessons I have learned. I am very happy with who I am. I’m secure in myself and look forward to each day with curiosity and hope.
I am grateful for the fantabulous, supportive, caring, funny, wonderful people I have ‘met’ through blogging. I wish I could have real coffee, chats and hugs, instead of virtual ones. There are a few that I’m missing since they’ve gone quiet, and I hope they are feeling up to coming back soon!
How patient are you as a person and have you become more so as you have aged or less so?
I am incredibly patient. It’s one of those lessons that I’m grateful to have learned. It was a very difficult lesson to learn since it came along with letting go of the illusion of control over ANYTHING except my actions. It’s a very good thing that I learned patience, because with Ben, I need a lot of it.
Well, that’s this set of questions answered. How would you answer? Let me know in comments or make a post of it.
