Really Me ~ What… Again?!

I was going to title this post The Bloke And I: Getting To Know You… but I wasn’t sure anyone would get my wacky sense of humor. Rory has the questions, I’ll provide the answers. Go check out A Guy Called Bloke if you haven’t already. Rory has great content, magical morning stars and a writing contest for followers, with cash prizes.

What’s your most favourite time of the day? – Now you can answer this with your quietest, your most productive, your most fun, busiest and so on, that’s your choice.

My very favoritist time of day is

Twilight. Especially during the late Spring/early Summer, the air is  warm and has a glow from the just setting sun. It feels like a magical time to me. I wish it lasted just a little bit longer.

I also really like the hours that Ben is at school or when he’s asleep. Any parent of a human child, or a needy fur-child can relate, I’m sure.

What are four things you are continually grateful for?

I am grateful to have shelter, food, clean water and access to medical care.  There are a LOT of homeless and hungry people in California. I can’t speak for the rest of the state, but SoCal has far, far too many. And there are too many people in too many places in the rest of the world to even list. I don’t have a lot of money, but I’m very wealthy.

I am grateful for the health and closeness of my family. Older Daughter and Ben live with me and Younger Daughter is just a few miles away. We text and/or talk daily, and see each other at least once a week.

I am grateful for the lessons I have learned. I am very happy with who I am. I’m secure in myself and look forward to each day with curiosity and hope.

I am grateful for the fantabulous, supportive, caring, funny, wonderful people I have ‘met’ through blogging. I wish I could have real coffee, chats and hugs, instead of virtual ones. There are a few that I’m missing since they’ve gone quiet, and I hope they are feeling up to coming back soon!

How patient are you as a person and have you become more so as you have aged or less so?

I am incredibly patient. It’s one of those lessons that I’m grateful to have learned. It was a very difficult lesson to learn since it came along with letting go of the illusion of control over ANYTHING except my actions. It’s a very good thing that I learned patience, because with Ben, I need a lot of it.

Well, that’s this set of questions answered. How would you answer? Let me know in comments or make a post of it.

  1. Wonderfully answered Angie and so true with regards Patience, l learned valuable lessons with patience as l have aged, the other is ‘jealousy’ – l learned to turn it on its head in my mid twenties – treat is as a compliment and it works wonders 🙂

    1. Thanks Rory! Stepping back and looking at most problems or obstacles from a different direction is helpful.
Jealousy hasn’t been a ‘thing’ in my life very much. I guess I was due to dodge one, eh?😉
The control one was HUGE. It took decades to come to terms with, but so very worth the feeling of freedom!!💃🏼

  2. When I say my prayers in the morning I give thanks for everything you have mentioned. We don’t have a lot of money, but we are very wealthy, you’re right. And then there are times I am laying in bed and am just so thankful for its soft warmth. I am thankful this is the life chosen for me. Same on the patience too. I am a very patient person and thank goodness, because when Declan came along, you’re right, I needed a lot. Virtual hugs, sister! 🙂

    1. Thanks for the hugs! I gratefully accept and send them back💌💌
It’s funny, after I posted this, I suddenly had Jewel in my head, so I went to YouTube and watched a few videos. I guess writing all that gratitude needed a soundtrack? I dont think the songs would’ve really worked but I understand the connection. Life is such a trip!💃🏼🎶🌞🎆
