…and I was born. Yep, I’ve made my way around the Sun one more time. I don’t have any plans, my birthday has been a horrible day in the past. The ex would always pick a fight on my birthday, everyone forgot my 40th and my 16th was NOT sweet.

It’s not a big deal anyway. After 16 when you can drive, 18 when you can vote (PLEASE VOTE!!) and you’re an ‘adult’, then 21 when you can buy alcohol and go to bars, the rest of the birthday milestones are just a reason for people to tease you about getting ‘old’.

Both of my daughters asked me what I wanted for my birthday. I told them ‘peace and quiet’… yeah, we had a good laugh at that one.

If you’d like to celebrate today, I found a list of holidays that happen on February 24th:

Forget Me Not Day

International Pancake Day

National Cupcake Day (Canada)

National Dance Day

National Tortilla Chip Day

National Trading Card Day

Play More Cards Day – (Last Monday in February)

World Bartender Day

A pretty good group of holidays IMO. I’m gonna go eat some pancakes, then dance. Maybe I’ll stop by a Mexican restaurant and ask the bartender for a daiquiri and eat some tortilla chips. Then before bed, I’ll have a cupcake.

Or maybe it will just be a regular, average Monday.

  1. Well I, for one, will be celebrating your latest click through the Turnstile of Life. I consider it a treasure that we’ve managed to meet, albeit digitally, and I will fight anyone who says otherwise. Of course, you might have to hold my beer whilst I engage in dubious fisticuffs that won’t resolve anything, but that’s just what friends do for one another. Cheers!

            1. Me too. I love guac and I live in SoCal, people grow them in their backyards.
It’s not worth the pain to enjoy the taste. It’s like hot, sharp glass working its way ever so slowly through my entire digestive tract. Hours and hours of pain.☹😫😭🤢
