If you missed the start of this series, you can find it here. A lot of things will be the same or very similar.
We’ll start today’s Adventures with last night’s sunset… because I can.

Except for the one by the Pecan tree, all of the photos were taken from my side door, about fifteen feet from my bed.
I took my pill before 10:00 last night, but sleep didn’t come as quickly as I hoped. Sometimes my chronic insomnia is very frustrating. Especially when I am going through a period of complete exhaustion, like now.
I got Bounced several times starting around 2:00. Daughter says she got Bounced at 1:30. He must’ve been going back and forth because there were several more Bounces, but he never stayed. Zeus stayed… Duh! Zeus is my Velcro Dog.
The final Bounce, the one that I started clawing my way up from unconsciousness from, was at 6:30? 6:45? something like that. I know it was after Daughter had given him meds but before 7:00. At 7:00 he stopped stabbing boxes (I heard that happening outside) and started “dumming” on my bed. Zeus was trying to crawl inside my skin and I stuck my feet and lower legs off the bed so they wouldn’t be mistaken as cymbals. A good dose of Fear Adrenaline is faster than coffee for getting a body moving.
It took my eyes and brain a little longer to get with the program. By 7:30 my bladder went from a vague background irritation to a screaming klaxon alarm. Time to get up.
I said hello to Sven on my way back from the bathroom.

Ben had finished drumming and was eating cheesy puffs and watching the tablet when I got back to my room. Daughter said she was gonna need to take a nap or go to bed early tonight. I told her to sleep whenever, go to bed then and get up at 1:30 or 2:00 like a regular work night. She was off last night but she works tonight and tomorrow night, last two shifts at her current job. She went to lay down at 8:30. At 9:00 I was commanded to relocate to the living room.
Ben sat with me on the couch for forty-five minutes or so, until the tablet died. He wouldn’t pay attention to the plug and the battery was low. After it died, he went to do the chalk thang.
10:30 meds were given in the chalk area. After giving Ben his meds, I decided to put Sven in the shower.

Ben, finished with the chalk for the time being, moved back to the couch and tablet, which was up to 50%. He munched some Blue Ramen and drank some juice. Sven went back in his “house”. I guess I’ll leave him alone for another week and keep checking him daily.
Daughter came out to relieve me at 12:30 but I couldn’t leave. It was Arts and Crafts Time and Gramma was making her third WB Warner Bros Pictures logo. I had to finish before HRH would give me permission to withdraw. By 12:45 I had cut it out and I was allowed to gather my things and go to my room. Horizontal Time? Nope! Ben followed me (and Zeus, of course), tablet in hand saying “W W W dot Warner Brothers dot com”. Yes, yes… of course… How silly of me… I must make ALL the things. So I wrote the www and I wrote “Distributed By” and I wrote “A TimeWarner Company” and I cut them out with nice rounded edges. Then, I was allowed to lay down.
But then the washer with Daughter’s clothes was finished and I needed to put the load of my and Ben’s things in. Horizontal Time now? Nope! Ben came in and gently got on the bed and said “Excuse me. Gramma? ‘Nother WB Warner Brothers.” Oh, I huffed and puffed and bitched and complained… yes I did! Ben ran away (he might’ve been thinking about the Bits O’ Gramma from an exploded head) but I made the stupid thing… I did a craptacular job, but I did it. I cut it out, stomped out of my room and dropped it in his lap.
Yes, I was having a temper tantrum. I need a nap! We all know this. A snack and a cuddle toy would be nice too. Unfortunately, my immediate future doesn’t have a nap in it. It has taking the clothes to the dryer, picking up Ben’s meds from the pharmacy, getting more wine for Daughter, picking clothes up from dryers, folding and putting clothes away… and probably some more Arts and Crafts.
2:00 and I was on my way to the dryers. Ben was due meds and Daughter was getting them ready as I left. I stopped at the pharmacy after the dryers. I only got his meds, he was asking for “A new Sweeney Todd Barber Chair toy” so I didn’t dare get anything else.
He was doing the stabbing spree thing with the boxes when I got back. He was completely SpazmaTaz until it was time to get the clothes. As I left he was pounding on the door yelling “Gramma!”. Ugh! I hurried, even though part of me wanted to just drive away… anywhere… just AWAY! When I got back with the clothes he was sitting on the couch with the tablet. Daughter had him come in the bathroom with her to give Diesel Cat a bath. I folded and put away my load of clothes. Then it was Horizontal Time… finally!
I went through my Reader some more, so far behind… I almost dozed off at one point, but Daughter came in to tell me she was gonna get in the shower, to listen out for Ben. He needs to be monitored, especially when he’s had a rough time.
While Daughter was in the shower, Ben dozed off. Daughter woke him up and he ran to my room. It then became my responsibility to keep him awake. Lucky me. SpazmaTaz to konked out to cranky… Welp, nothing for it but to just do it. I better end now, because Daughter will be doing his dinner before too long and yadda yadda yadda, I won’t have a spare minute for a couple hours. Here’s tonight’s song
Thanks for hanging out with us on this Casa Cuckoo Sunday. We’ll be waiting for you tomorrow. Ready for adventures and laughs and… well, whatever happens.

Wow, that sunset, right on your side doorstep. It’s really beautiful! And the palm trees make me think of ocean breezes. Only a few people try to have palm trees here. They have to be professionally wrapped in foil to make it through the winter. I hope you get a super long nap, a snack and a cuddle toy! 🤗💫🧸🍪😴

I wish! Does it get below freezing a lot where you are? Our palm trees survive nights in the low 30s every winter without problems. There are SO many kinds of palm trees😂 me ex was a landscaper…had his own business until he imploded. I know too much about ornamental plants and trees🤦♀️💞💖💌

You know, it really doesn’t get that cold that often. But, we have the possibility of it. When we have a hard cold snap they wrap them up and leave them for the season. It’s something how you get to know things you never thought you would. 😄 💞💌🤗

Look, it’s perfectly okay to have your temper tantrums. In fact, you NEED to have them. If you don’t hit the release valve on the stress from time to time, it’s not good. Ben will be fine. Daughter will be fine. Gramma will not be fine if she doesn’t decompress. Hugs.

Very true! An occasional tantrum is better than the Bits O’ Gramma option. And my tantrums are pretty mild… a little stomping, maybe a door closed harder than need be, some huffing and puffing grumblies…
I’d rather have a nap with a cuddle toy and a snack though🧸🛌🧀🥐🍓🍫💌💌

Even Superman gets annoyed. I am astounded that given the lack of sleep and time to yourself that it doesn’t happen more. I have some good ones. Wish I could Film then as they would be comedy gold. Your doing such a wonderful job. So hope you do get some rest. Really don’t want you going Hulk smashing round the city. xx

Thanks! No worries… I only turn green and smashy when I’m angry. I really don’t get angry very often. Generally it’s frustration that causes the tantrums. 😉😂💌

I’ve gotten a little bit more rest since then, but until Ben is back in school and I can count on not being disturbed, I think I’ll take what I can get, when I can get it😉🤗🥰💌
