Part 222 ~ The Adventures of King Ben & Zeus the Big Dumb Dog

If you missed the start of this series, you can find it here. A lot of things will be the same or very similar.

Ben ate his pizza dinner, sitting with Daughter and watching a Batman movie on her laptop. I was taking pictures from different places, trying to figure out where I’d have the best southwest view. After the sun was out of view, I started editing the pictures. When I went to go run Ben’s bath, I found Daughter doing it. I told her I would take care of his bath, but she said “I got it!” Well alrighty then…

There was a lot of repetition on her part and a lot of loud noises on his part, but she got him cleaned up. I was busy sewing the hole in the seat of the overshorts cuz she’d told him he could sleep in his costume. I finished just as he was putting his bathrobe on. The Boys were tucked, kissed and wished a Good Night.

Things, Stuff, the gyro from Sunday night, pill and konked out probably around 11pm.

It was very chilly this morning when Ben did the yelling run-by around 6:15am. I didn’t wanna get up, but HRH insisted.

Daughter was giving Ben his meds when I came out of the baño. I told her I’d warmed up the seat for her. She said the Guessers app was showing current temperature as 45°F (7°C) it was chilly! I uncovered Sven and got him fresh food, but he didn’t move. I put the blanket back over the cover on his terrarium to keep more of the heat inside. Then I went outside to look for Venus. If I have to be up before the Sun, I want to see something pretty or cool, and Venus fits those requirements nicely.

I checked to see if Sven moved toward his food after taking a few pictures of the start of sunrise. The only thing moving Sven moved was his eyes, opening and closing them, and looking around.

I changed into sweats cuz my PJ bottoms were too thin, and put my uggs on… I was already wearing my hoodie. I continued to take pictures of sunrise, helping Daughter get Ben’s lunch box and backpack ready to go when I came inside. The Sun hadn’t come above the horizon from my vantage point at the gate, but it was time to wait for the GLYSB. It took us a couple minutes to get Ben out the door, and we had just set the chair up when the GLYSB pulled up… six minutes early. Nice!

A more subdued Happy Dance occurred this morning. I was cold and tired and needed more coffee. I went to the gate to get a picture of the Sun… continuity.

Then I got Horizontal, fought the drowsies and went through email and started on my WP reader. I didn’t get very far before Daughter came and flopped on my bed… she’s always been flopper! When she was younger I used to make her get up and sit down more gently… I guess the lesson didn’t stick. Anyway, interrupted before I’d really begun. She came to tell me about all the times the school called for non-emergency stuff, and interrupted her. She failed to see the irony. After telling me about all the interruptions, she left.

I figured I better go to the dang grocery store and get it overwith. She called me while I was there, wanting me to get chicken strips and potato wedges from the deli. Okie dokie. Unfortunately they were completely out of chicken strips so she only got tater wedgies. Plus the dag-nabbit store was out of the wine she likes, so I had to go to Rite Aid too. I also got Ben a thing if dominoes at Rite Aid. They aren’t colored, but the dots are. Maybe that will be good enough.

Then after I got home and made two trips to carry all the bags up the driveway to the house, Daughter said “I should’ve had you get more ginger ale and Gatorade. And diet coke for Ben.” UGH! So I walked over to the market for the beverages.

Then I was able to unmask, unshoe and get Horizontal. I had just shy of an hour of GLYSB time left. I was hoping he had a good day, and that he wouldn’t be super SpazmaTaz when he got home.

Ben got off the bus fine and came in the house. He wanted out of all his clothes. I got him a big shirt he uses as a nightgown and Daughter helped him get all the stuff off. He won a contest and brought home a bag of candy. He had another bag of candy too, I guess “just because”. I LOVE his school! He saw the new dominoes and was happy with them. YAY! HRH will let me continue drawing breath and serving his every whim.

    1. Ben doesn’t offer hugs very often, and sometimes he squeezes the stuffing out of us, but I can’t imagine harshing him for it. It’s not like we’re frail, with brittle bones… then maybe urge caution.

Older Daughter has always been contrary. She will do exactly what you tell her not to do. I think I reinforced the flopping by trying to correct it. Especially in her teens when it seemed like 95% of her time was spent trying to irritate me🤣🤣🤣
      💕🤗🥰😍

    1. I’m enjoying it while it lasts. Daughter said it’s supposed to get hot again. I haven’t confirmed this but it’s 2020 and nothing surprises me🤷🏼‍♀️😂
I might need to put Sven in a warm bath. I was gonna take him out in the sun, but the breeze was chilly. Poor cold blooded, triangle head. He needs to absorb heat from outside himself. He would look cute in a hoodie though.😂😂💕🦋💃🏼✨🤗🥰

  1. Fantastic! Great to hear. My daughters have always been floppers. I used to get so annoyed! I wonder if they flop on their own furniture now? Will have to investigate…

Your 222 post reminds me of the tv show Room 222! 😍

    1. I don’t think I’ve seen that show. Sadje just informed me #222 posted twice.🤣🤣🤣 so many “2”s🤪
What is with these floppers?! Daughter’s cat, Diesel flops too. Little weirdo stops, then just kinda falls over😂 poor thing probably sucked too many fumes on his ride in the engine compartment before Daughter rescued him & brought him home in her backpack. Probably has dain bramage, but that Doesn’t explain Older’s flopping. Younger isn’t a flopper.
Yes, investigate… ask their S.O.’s …enquiring minds want to know🤔😂💕🦋
