If you missed the start of this series, you can find it here. A lot of things will be the same or very similar.
I took a LOT of pictures but most of them were of clouds. A storm was moving in and Sciencey Data was in short supply. The Parrots visited the tree that has been the main focus recently, that made me happy.
Ben was overtired I think. The time change is messing with him. He was in a good mood, he just wanted to play. He was putting one of the stuffed animals he gave to Zeus into a barbie car and telling Zeus “it’s getting away!” wanting Zeus to go after the car and get the toy. Zeus didn’t understand what he was supposed to do, so Ben kept getting me involved… “Gramma! Look!” At first I didn’t understand either. We were in my room and the car was outside. “Look at what, Babylove?” and he’d tell me to “Look!” again. He even took a picture of the toy in the car with his tablet… so cute. When I finally figured out what he wanted, I sent Zeus after the toy. Good Dog! Then Ben would forcefully take the toy back cuz Zeus never wants to let go, and the whole thing would start again. We did this the entire time I was taking pictures… about an hour.
Finally it was time for meds and bath and bedtime. He had been good, just hyped up and exhausting.
I told Daughter earlier about the movie called “Riddick” that had come out in 2013. I hadn’t known about this one and neither had she. We talked about renting it, so after Ben was in bed, she asked if I still wanted to watch it. I told her to give me about fifteen minutes, I was doing some blog stuff, then I’d come out to the living room with her. I finished up, and she took the “jail” outside. It had been partially blocking the TV for months, but since Hocus Pocus is still on repeat, it hadn’t really mattered. So nice to get that thing out of the house! Ben protested our previous attempts.
Anyway, we watched the movie together. I think it made her really happy that I watched with her. We could hear Ben goofing in his room, but he was quiet when the movie was over and we each went to our rooms.
I did my Things and some Stuff, I ate more soup and was in a Food Coma before taking my pill. I woke around 2:30am and tried to decide whether to take it or not. I decided it was too late and went back to sleep.
I woke up to Zeus sniffing and then growling a little as Ben shoved him out of the way to get under the blankets with me. When I found my phone to check the time, I almost cried… it was 4:30am.
HRH was kind enough to wait until shortly after 5am before he started to lightly kick the front door to summon me. Why he didn’t just ask, only he knows. I guess his language area was still sleeping. UGH! I looked at the sky and was surprised that it was clear. I saw the Moon and Venus and a lot of other stars. It was cold, so I sat on the couch with Ben, who had a horrible case of Ants In His Pants.
When it started getting light out, I went to look at the eastern sky, and it started raining on me, cuz of course it did. I went back in after taking one picture. It was cold and wet, but it was pretty.
Ben wiggled and got up, then came back to get under the blanket, over and over… he couldn’t sit still. Finally it was 6:30 and I could give him his meds. I didn’t uncover Sven until 7:15am and he looked like he would’ve been happy to stay in the dark. I left the greens and berries from yesterday. I saw some of the greens moving, so there was at least one worm still surviving under there. I waited to see what Sven would do. He glared, so I got him fresh greens, and put the leftover berries and new berries, along with the three worms, in his dish and presented it to him… Much happier!
Around 8:30am Daughter came out to take over. She told me that AP had just called Pennsylvania for Biden. It was over! Praise the Flying Spaghetti Monster! Biden was NOT my first or even second choice, I hope that with Kamala’s influence we can see some real changes. I’d love to see average Americans getting better treatment than corporations. I’d love to see every American, every human, every living thing… treated with decency.
Daughter took over Couch Sittin Duty and I refilled my coffee and got Horizontal. It continued to rain off and on, Ben had to go stand in it under an umbrella, or check out the dirt/mud hole. At one point the wind and rain were so forceful it defeated the cardboard over the AC unit and Daughter had to go outside and move the AC out of the window. Why was it still IN the window? Two days ago it was 92ยฐF, remember?! Wonky weather!
Ben did his Chalk Thang or came and Bounced me, wiggling under the blankets then commanding me to fetch something or other, to do some Arts and Crafts project, or participate in some game. He was in a good mood, but he was impatient. He always seemed to make his Royal Demands when I was in the middle of something, and I’d tell him to “hang on a minute”, but he seemed to expect me to begin doing before he was even done commanding.
The rain stopped and Daughter wanted a Monster for work tonight, so I walked over to market. It was chilly out there. Yes, I realize that 53ยฐF (12ยฐC) isn’t cold to folks who deal with blizzards and ice, but this is SoCal and it was 92ยฐF (33ยฐC) two days ago! Anyway, there are still clouds, but pockets of clear sky, so maybe I can do some Scientific Data Gathering before I have to Drive Miss Daisy.
I was gonna play Steam – Na Na Na Na … Goodbye song, but I’m playing nice.
Thanks for stopping by on this cold, wet, blustery day. It was a pretty good day here at the Casa, and a good day for our Country, and the world IMO. The Guessers are predicting more rain tomorrow, then the Sun comes back in time for GLYSB Day, Monday. We have to pick Daughter up from work in the morning, but I don’t think we have anything else planned. I’ll be doing Couch Sittin Duty while Daughter sleeps, I’m sure Ben will find something for me to do. ยกHasta maรฑana!

Iโm so happy the election is over.
Iโm ready for a little peace in the world.
My baby chicks are 2 weeks old. Itโs fun holding them, feeding them and letting them explore the garden a tiny bit.
Itโs been a crazy 2 weeks with a burial and memorial service for my Mother in law. Emotional times.
Saw our boys today to celebrate Andrewโs 28th bday. Just made tacos and ate in the back yard. He is newly dating someone. This is big news. We had a nice visit.
Sorry Iโve been missing your blogs lately.
Having little beaks to feed and care for keeps me off the internet.
Hugs
Teri

The internet is gonna be a mess for months! The election is over, but the drama isn’t. I think it’s gonna get worse before it gets better.
I’m so glad you have your little babies to care for. You should be in the garden with life!
It rained here today! Cold too. Weird weather!
Don’t worry about missing posts, nothing important has happened. It’s like a soap opera… you can jump in anytime, and follow along ๐๐๐๐
Sending hugs!!๐๐๐๐๐๐

Yeah… it was pretty dry this year in Seattle too. You don’t get a lot of rain where you live? We got a lot of rain last winter and in the spring… unusual. We dont get a lot in San Diego County. The weather this year is all over the place! ๐๐คฆ๐ผโโ๏ธ
Hope your Sunday is great! ๐ค๐ฅฐ๐

In Lahore we get lot of rain in the monsoon season and some in spring. At other times, itโs just sporadic. Thanks Angie. โค๏ธ

I was so relieved when I saw the news on my phone. So glad the election is over – now we have to actually get Trump to leave when he is supposed to. I like a good rainy day, as long as I don’t have to go anywhere. But 4:30! I would have probably shed some tears after waking up at 2:30 too. Here’s hoping you guys have a great day today!

Of course I had to wake Ben up this morning ๐๐คฆ๐ผโโ๏ธ He couldn’t sleep in yesterday, when we didnt have to be anywhere. Noooo… he had to sleep in today, when we had to go get Daughter from work. Little Bootyhead!
The next couple months are gonna be scary. Trump has nothing to lose and the rabid MAGA Hatters are armed to the teeth and ready to do his bidding. I hope people just lay low, remember the Kootie is still out there and wait til the Secret Service escorts him out. Then I hope they take him directly to jail.
It’s rainy and cold here again. It’s probably good for our Kootie numbers, which crept up around Halloween. Idjit people!๐๐คฆ๐ผโโ๏ธ
Stay safe! Tomorrow is a Hallelujah GLYSB Day๐๐ผ๐ WOOT WOOT!!๐

Brilliant news that Trump is defeated but, as you say, it’s going to be a while before it’s all sorted. Nice you got to have a movie night with your daughter – these little things are important.

Yeah… I do try. Ben is always gonna be first now. He’s a child, IMO children need us more than adults.

You are so on target, as usual. Biden would not have been my first choice, either, but he is MILES beyond the madness of Trump and, to be realistic, his somewhat centrist views will give him a better chance of uniting the country than would be the case with more progressive politicians. (We just aren’t there yet, in terms of a radical new direction, however much we need it. Too many in this country are still in the Stone Age.) And the Trumpsters? They are going to be howling for months, possibly years. We just have to filter out the noise and focus on the good that can be done…

I just keep thinking about what Mama Michelle Obama says… when they go low, we go high. I think if everyone remembers to keep treating each other with respect, we’ll find some common ground and remember we’re all just humans, trying to live our lives and love our peoples.
It still makes me sad that SOOOO many people are uninformed about “socialism”. The dang PD and Fire Dept… calling 911 is “socialism” fer cryin out loud!
Now we look to Georgia… see if they can flip the Senate๐ค I’d love to see smarmy Mitch take a back seat!๐๐๐ผ๐
