If you missed the start of this series, you can find it here. A lot of things will be the same or very similar.
I did wind up watching, and photographing, the sunset. Daughter decided to order a delivery of fast food… the Golden Arches with a red box of happiness for Ben (plus twenty more nuggets, he’s twelve now… he eats), so dinner was easy and bath isn’t until after meds… whatever. I watched sunset. It started mellow and pastel, then it got all tropical pastel… Mother Nature has really been treating us to some beauty. (Have I written that enough to be annoying yet?)
I used the Photo setting, no filters, nothing except making a few darker before taking the picture. Mostly I just clicked away. The Parrots did a flyby, a small group and I took pictures but they were ALL out of focus. I have plenty of Parrot pictures, AND the video that’s saved on YouTube (Thanks again, Jeff!) so, a couple of missed shots isn’t the end of the world. I still need to figure out my new camera so I can really get busy on my newest craze.
Anyway, bath and bedtime went fine. Daughter went to her room, I did the usual, yadda yadda yadda… I dozed off and on, then took my meds when all the stuff was done, and slept like crap. It happens like that sometimes with chronic insomnia.
I was awake for good at 4:30am. The Big Mac I had yesterday was really good. It wasnt dry, it was actually the best fast food burger I’ve had in a while, but… my digestive system was unhappy. I have GERD and IBS, plus a hiatal hernia, so my digestive system is all kinds of wonky anyway. I guess my mouth was only part that was pleased with the burger. Anyway, I was AWAKE at 4:30am, so I goofed on my phone for a while, then got up.
The Coffee Dragon woke up at 5am and did it’s burble and hissing Magic. It might’ve been the smell that convinced me to drag myself out of bed more than Nature’s Call. I DO love coffee! I knew better than to go look for Venus too early, so I waited til 6am-ish. It was cold, cold, cold… but WOW!
I went back inside after taking the first set cuz my fingers were numb. Then Younger’s Partner texted a picture of sunrise to me around 6:40am and told me it was still changing. So I went back out for the next act. I could’ve watched until the Sun was fully up, it was so pretty, but my fingers went numb again. (Older bought gloves for me that have the thingy for using a phone on the finger and thumb, but they don’t work well.)
I went back out around 7:20am to take a picture of the Sun above the horizon and visible. Can’t have a series of Sunrise Pictures without one of the risen Sun. I can’t anyway, it’s incomplete. Anyway, that last picture is actually the first I took when I went back out, and I startled some gulls from the dumpster of the apartments south of my house. How many gulls do you see in the last picture? I don’t think these gulls included the G’s cuz they didn’t hang around long. Mister Crow and I had a nice conversation though. He even went and got the Missus or a buddy and I chatted with both for a minute. The buddy (or Missus) got fed up, caw’d some kinda Crow interjection, and flew off. Mister Crow followed.
After the gulls left I went back inside to stay. I was in the dent, doing Couch Sittin Duty at 7:30am, and that’s pretty much where I stayed until Daughter got up at the surprising time of 11:15am. We did the thing, I got more coffee, took a stroll around the backyard, no Wildlife Adventures that time… (interesting fact I discovered last night trying to identify the Flutterby I saw… Monarch butterflies winter and breed in San Diego County. The Flutterby I saw could’ve been a Monarch. Pretty cool!) then I went to my room and I got Horizontal.
Daughter decided to order food again around 1pm. Panda Express was the fast food of choice this time. I got the Veggie Rolls as usual. Sometimes I’ll get something else, but I like the Veggie Rolls cuz I can just grab and munch. My fortune was “A small discovery will lead to big things”. A nice vague fortune…welp, you read it here first. If big things come my way, you’ll know I must’ve made a small discovery.
It’s almost sunset time. Time to take more pictures, see if I make a “small discovery”… I wonder if fortunes have an expiration date? Then it will be bath and med time before we Drive Miss Daisy. Hopefully an early bedtime for Angie.
In honor of World Introvert Day… and cuz I’m gonna run away from home sometime in this decade… (NoC-NAT)
Thanks for VIRTUALLY hanging out with us. It was another pretty mellow day. That’s the way uh-huh uh-huh I like it! Daughter only works tonight and then she’s off until Thursday night. The only thing on the agenda for tomorrow is picking Daughter up from work, then Couch Sittin Duty while she sleeps. I hope that means another mellow day. ¡Hasta mañana!

Maybe I’ll find a penny, pick it up , and have good luck all day😉 Only if it’s heads up. If it’s tails up I have to give it away. 🤣🤣🤣
Funny… the “rules” of superstitions. 💕💖🤗🥰🦋🌠

We don’t have railroad tracks… I’m way in the southwest of California. Near the Mexican Border. The tracks we have, run along the coast and come in from the north
I never learned that one. 🤔😂

I learned it as a little girl in Houston. Lots of railroad tracks. 😂

These are great pictures Angie. If you can do this from phone camera, then think what will you do with a real camera! Waiting for you to give us photos from your new camera.
Sometimes what we love to eat is not what our digestive system wants. It’s always a battle between taste and ease.
Hope you have a easy time dropping off your daughter. Hugs!

You’re so right about the food. I have medication for the GERD but I don’t have to take it every day anymore, so I forget when I eat something that’s likely to upset my system🙄🤦🏼♀️
Daughter has been dropped off and Ben & Zeus are in Ben’s room, winding down before sleep.
I’m hoping for early early bedtime tonight. We’ll see if LIFE will cooperate😉🤗🥰💖

Pretty photos! I have those gloves too that are supposed to be screen friendly but they do not work for me either. I end up having to take the gloves off to do what I need to and then put them back on.
Nice mellow day! Here’s hoping today is as mellow and you got a better night’s rest!

I actually had a pair that worked, years ago and I gave them to Daughter when she was walking to & from work. She ripped or lost them… something. I wish I could remember who made them because they were good.
Sleep wasnt great, but the day has been pretty good so far… kind of a “rinse, repeat” but I’ll take it!😉🤗🥰💕

We’ve been working on projects around here. I’ve been gathering mulch from the side of the road and hauling into my husbands truck. Then i drag a wheelbarrow all over the yard and dump and spread it. Lots of exercise.
Haven’t been on WordPress much lately.
The chickens 🐔 are a lot of work also, but I’m loving them. It’s so funny to just sit and watch them. Kinda like your birds 🦅.
Those sunrises and sunsets are very pretty and fun.
Here’s hoping 2021 is less chaotic. Hearing ambulances are having to wait at the ER at hospitals for 7 hours in Santa Clara California. Scary.
We barely see anyone unless on a walk and a neighbor is out.
Have a nice Sunday Angie.

I’m glad you’ve got your garden and your chickens, Teri. It’s better to focus on living, growing things.
Older Daughter’s unit had discharged all their COVID patients and gone back to taking regular, general admissions. Last night when she got to work, they decided they needed to switch back to taking COVID because the Emergency Department was filling up with people needing to be admitted.
After transfering 4 patients to clear the beds, Daughter got 8 COVID admissions. They wanted to send more, but staffing rules wouldn’t allow it.
It’s only going to get worse over the next few weeks. People weren’t careful or safe over New Years and Christmas, plus the mutated, more contagious strain is here in California now.
Stay safe! 💕🤗🥰

Oh my goodness. Not good news. Thank goodness for your daughter and all the first responders. So true that people just don’t get it.
Parties at the white house, etc…
it makes me ill.
Stay well Angie.

I hadn’t heard it before either. I went on a YouTube search. There are some great songs and videos I’ve never heard/seen, but I get lost down a Rabbit Hole every time🤪 Too much content!!😂💞
