If you missed the start of this series, you can find it here. A lot of things will be the same or very similar.
The evening chill continued and sunset was interesting. I tried to get pictures but I think it would’ve taken professional equipment or someone with more knowledge about photography to do justice.
The clouds were weird and constantly shifting and there were patches of bright blue showing through… it was very cool and the pictures don’t really show it. Plus the Parrots did a couple flybys, that always makes me happy.
We got Ben off to bed with minimal trouble, then I decided to go ahead and go to the store. Daughter was watching Inauguration stuff, so I figured other people would be too, so the store wouldn’t be crowded. I was right. I dropped off my two prescriptions, got all the stuff on my list, checked out and took the stuff to the car to bag it (I got more stuff than would fit in the two bags I’d brought in) and load it into the car, then went back in to pick up the prescriptions I’d dropped off, plus another one for me and Ben’s Adderall… all in a half hour. Amazing, right?!
After putting the stuff away, I was trying to clear more memory on my phone (I will be SO happy when Daughter gets her tax return and we get new phones) and I disabled or erased something that messed everything up. Oh Swell!
I spent the next hour trying to fix it. Trying being the key word. I gave up and figured it was good enough. With any luck I’ll have a new phone within a month or so.
Blah blah blah, Things and Stuff… yadda yadda yadda, emails and food. Meds at 11pm but I didn’t go to sleep until around 1am. Insomnia… soooo much fun. (can you hear the sarcasm?) I woke a few times and finally woke for good around 6am. Five-ish hours is pretty good for me.
I was the first one up this morning and a peaceful quiet house is just as good as a little extra sleep, so this morning was a win. I did the usual, uncovered Sven and said hello… got some side-eye
then went to see if Venus was still visible. I didn’t expect it, so I wasn’t disappointed. Most of the clouds were gone, and no birds. That was okay too. I went back in to let Dogzilla out of Ben’s room. Ben had his eyes open, but he wasn’t really awake yet. Also okay I got his meds, refilled his water bottle and doped his face. Then I went back out to see the actual Sun come out of hiding.
Ben command me to Couch Sittin Duty, so we hung out together for forty-five minutes or so, then Daughter got up. She grabbed her stuff and took over. Okay by me. I got more coffee and headed to my room for more Horizontal Time.
Ever since I developed Fibromyalgia after the failed surgeries and jacked up way the Work Comp insurance company handled my case, laying down is the only way I’m truly comfortable. When I hired the attorney that helped me appeal the disability case with Social Security, one of the first questions he asked me was what percentage of my day did I spend laying down. It was incredibly validating!
The rest of the morning and early afternoon was chill. Ben played outside with chalk that had gotten wet when the sky spit yesterday. He painted the ground, the side of the house, and himself. All good… he wasn’t breaking anything. Plus it was good for him to be outside in the fresh air.
At 1pm I took the clothes over to the laundromat to dry them. Then at 2pm I went back to get them, folded them and put them away. No Quarter Lady, no Cleaner Lady, no nobody. After that was done it was Horizontal Time again.
The afternoon is winding down. It’s just about time for Sunset and PreGame Show. Yep, Daughter has work for the next three nights. She prefers to just get them done, then she can have four nights off. I still wish she drove. It really would make things so much less stressful! But you know the old saying… “Wish in one hand…“
Random tune courtesy of the DJ in my head.
Another relaxing day. Not quite as fantastically wonderful as yesterday, but those kind of days are rare, especially at Casa Cuckoo. I’ll take average and calm anytime. Nothing going on tomorrow except Driving Miss Daisy after and before her shifts, and a whole lotta Couch Sittin Duty. Other stuff will happen, it usually does. ยกHasta maรฑana!

That stinks about the phone. I am always handing my phone off to a child to fix some error I made. It is easier now since I got a new phone two Christmases ago. Here’s hoping the new one comes in and you are back in action without any hiccups.
Sounds like a nice day! I went to the store today too and was surprised how empty it was and how fast I got in and out of there. Always a win!
Here is hoping for a nice chill evening and a great day ahead!

The evening was chill. We got Daughter to work without any problems, and Ben was happy to get under his blankets in bed when we got home. Zeus didnt even complain.
Keep working that magic! Please and thank you!๐ฅฐ๐๐

Thank you! I’m learning how to use some of the manual functions. I guess I’m still a “Scientist” experimenting within my “Photographer” persona๐๐๐

My phone is old and pretty useless too. I’m always having to clear the memory. One day, I’ll get a better one – just waiting for one of the kids to start a full-time job and take over their own phone contract! ๐

We use a company that doesn’t have contracts. We have to buy the phone’s outright, and they’re usually an unpopular model, but it’s only $41 month for unlimited talk and text and the coverage is good. (There’s a tower on every other block it seems) I still pay Younger’s phone… she’s 26๐๐ She gives me money every month for her phone and car insurance but it seems like she never quite balances out๐ Maybe someday…๐๐๐๐๐ป

I can totally relate to the phone thing lol. Mine’s like 5 years old, has less than 10% of its space left, and the battery drains faster than it charges lol. I’m going through something similar, in trying to clear off stuff I don’t need or apps I don’t use or stuff I can store somewhere else. Power to the older-phone people! Lol ๐
And awesome song!!
Big hugs to you, Cosmic Sister ๐ โค โค โค (boring keyboard strikes again!! Lol)

Until I started taking so many pictures it was fine. And I actually had tons more pictures stored before, and it was fine. I hate having to get a new phone but I’m tired of fighting with this one. Plus, I kinda need it to work cuz I dont have a laptop or desktop. I have a tablet, but it’s older than the phone. Plus it’s an Amazon Fire, which is fine for reading books or streaming, but their app store kinda sucks๐๐๐๐ Plus, PLUS… it’s out of memory too๐๐คฆ๐ผโโ๏ธ๐๐๐๐๐
Big hugs to you, Dearest Dude!!๐ค๐ฅฐ๐๐๐๐๐ผ๐ฆ๐ป๐บ

Lolol ๐. I understand the technology fight lol. My devices often mysteriously decline over time in terms of performance, despite trying pretty hard to be conscientious and judicious lol. Almost seems like a deliberate plan or something ๐. But I will cop to having 23k+ photos on my phone lol ๐
Warm hugs and much love, Cosmic Sista! ๐ฅฐ๐๐๐๐ป๐ฏโโ๏ธ๐โฎ๏ธ๐ ๐ทโฏ๏ธโจ
