If you missed the start of this series, you can find it here. A lot of things will be the same or very similar.
Let’s start with Paula’s things we love. Today’s thing I love is Sven Dragon
Sunset… WOW!!! The Parrots even did a flyby. Here’s a sample of the Gift from Mother Nature

and a video if you want to see all of the amazing changes and colors.
The sunset was exactly what I needed. I was getting grumpier and grumpier, and the beautiful sky relaxed me. Seeing the Parrots always makes me happy too.
Ben was still hanging out in my room. Daughter brought his white chicken, and his meds in. When he was done eating, she gave him his bath, and even washed his hair. Shocking, right?! I thanked her for doing it, so I didn’t have to. She told me I didn’t need to thank her, it was in fact her job. Can’t argue with the truth.
She got The Boys settled, then went to her room. I did the usual and Food Coma‘d before taking my pill. I woke around 1am and took the pill and went back to sleep… until 2:15am, when I got Bounced. Seriously?!
He played in the living room for a while, wanted me to Write The Words and join him. I told him there was NO WAY I was gonna get up, that it wasn’t even close to morning, and he should get his tablet and get back in bed with me. He did eventually join me in my room, and he let me doze a little. He woke me up periodically wanting me to do something or other. I had to get up to get his meds at 6:30am.
All of the clouds were gone, so I skipped sunrise. Sven was still on his hammock, the same place he’d been when he fell asleep last night. I started going through my email, after cleaning up the mess Ben made in the living room during the wee hours.
Around 8am I went to put Ben’s clothes in the washer. When I was going back inside through the side door, I saw Georgie up on the power pole. I greeted him, chatted for a minute, then went inside. I was getting coffee when I saw he’d flown over to the market roof. I took a couple pictures, then went back outside to the gate.
I heard Mr Crow squawking, but didn’t see him. I called out, asking where he was. He came up through the leaves on the bush/tree that is his regular perch and bobbed and squawked at me. He was a real chatterbox until Gracie flew in and chased him away. Georgie just watched.
Around 10:30 Ben decided he needed to put ALL the clothes on. You know… the white button-down, the long pants, the vest, the tie, the jacket, and of course, socks and the hard shoes. UGH!! I admit, it made me super nervous, cuz the clothes usually go on when he’s in a mood. It was a half hour until THE Zoom. Daughter and I told him how great he looked and asked if he was dressing up for Zoom School.
Daughter had a bit of trouble getting him to leave the chalk and come sit at the computer, but he did it. I was listening and the whole set up was completely different. They even did a “music break” for him and played Magic Dance from The Labyrinth, which they’ve never done. It was a set-up, but whatever. Ben barely participated and then it was only with major prompting from Daughter. The District lady, got on at the end with tears running down her face to say hello. She loves Ben and has always been in his corner. We’re lucky that she’s head of Special Ed now, cuz she will make sure Ben gets what he needs.
After Zoom was over I took the clothes to the laundromat, (no Quarter Lady or Cleaner Lady. The office was closed) put the clothes in the dryers, then went to Vons to get Ben’s meds. There was some mixup, even though Daughter called last night and they were supposed to be filled last night. Thank goodness the pharmacist I’ve “known” for over twenty years was there, cuz he sorted whatever the problem was, and gave me the meds, which was very good cuz we were out. Seroquel is kinda important to keep taking. I went back home, relaxed for about twenty minutes then had to go get the clothes.
Around 2pm Daughter went to her room since Ben was hanging out with me in mine. He summoned me to Couch Sittin Duty around 2:45pm. I was surprised it took so long TBH. I did some taping and various other Peasant Duties as part of Couch Sittin, but mostly we just hung out.
It’s almost sunset time, but when I was outside for Sven’s post shower photo shoot earlier, the sky didn’t look promising for a dramatic sunset. After last night’s, that’s okay. We’ll also be entering the PreGame Show portion of the evening. Driving Miss Daisy starts again tonight.
I heard this on the radio when I was getting Ben’s meds. Another band that is fun live.
A ridiculously early wakeup, (I’ll bet a nickel I have to wake him up the next three mornings to go pick Daughter up from work) followed by a mostly chill day. Daughter starts her three nights of work tonight, so we’ll be Driving Miss Daisy mornings and evenings. I’ll have to do the Zooms while she sleeps. I think that’s it except for a whole lotta Couch Sittin Duty. Something else will come up, it usually does. Lots of Adventures at Casa Cuckoo, and never a dull moment. ยกHasta maรฑana!

Oh my gosh, 2:15 – really?!? That is so awful! I hope you can catch up and I bet you those same nickels!
It sounds like THE zoom went okay! I love it when I know there is someone that is rooting for Declan. That is great that Ben’s special ed persons is soooo rooting for him. That is really awesome!
I was happy to see such happy pictures of Sven and such a beautiful sunset. I hope you get some great hours of rest tonight and have a smooth day of driving Miss Daisy ahead!

THE Zoom was okay. Ben was Ben๐คท๐ผโโ๏ธ and the gal totally knows Ben. I had to laugh at the set up though. It’s like they brought out the “fine china” when it’s usually paper plates๐คฃ๐คฃ A music break?? I’m sure the gal saw through it. She knows we’re thrilled with Ben’s placement. And she was super excited to see how well he’s doing.
Sven is such a character! It’s cool how he can make his back scales dark to absorb more sunlight. Hopefully he’ll stay awake now. ๐ค๐

2:15AM? That’s a new one for me. And having to take care of him after taking your sleeping pill? Ridiculously difficult.
Life is good around here. I think Andrew got a job helping out at Vaccine distribution center at Moscone Center in San Francisco. Ken had been sending hundreds of resumes out and this one finally clicked. Andrew is happy he will be helping the community. It’s always been his dream to work for a non profit. He loves giving back.
Curtis has been quiet since he lost his dog. I’m staying out of his way.
I’ve been cooking, cleaning and gardening. Planted hostas today. Cut back some Mexican Sage that was ginormous. Made broccoli with cheese sauce, a corn chowder and we ate most of the rest of the minestrone soup last night. I baked a red velvet cake this week. Wasn’t as good as I remembered it.
Have a happy Wednesday Angie.

I think Ben wakes up so often before sunrise that he doesnt know if its 5:30 or 2:30, so he thinks it’s time to get up.
I’ve thought about getting a cheap clock with hands and coloring the part between 12 and 5 red or something. A visual cue that it’s still night time and NOT time to get up.๐คท๐ผโโ๏ธ
Congrats to Andrew!! Poor Curtis… it never gets any easier, no matter how many pets you lose. They ALL hurt!
Hugs!๐ค๐ฅฐ๐๐

Thank you! I was SOOO happy that picture turned out so well. It’s difficult to photograph flying birds, even big ol slow seagulls. And I’m always facing the Sun๐๐คฆ๐ผโโ๏ธ๐คฃ๐คฃ๐คฃ
Yeah, Daughter told me she hadn’t been giving him his full dose of the med at bedtime cuz she was worried we’d run out. Makes me think that might’ve been part of his sleep issues the past couple days.๐คฆ๐ผโโ๏ธ

Yup, I knew you were up way early today by your comments on my posts. But 2:15 is like middle of the night. Iโm glad the day was not testing and he even sat through the zoom meeting. Iโm happy the parrots ๐ฆ come to cheer you up.
Hope it goes smoothly tonight. With lots more sleep for you. ๐ค๐ค๐ค๐ค

Thank you Sadje. I thought if I had to be awake, I’d get caught up, and try to get ahead, but it didn’t quite work out๐
Hopefully tonight goes better๐ค
And hopefully you’re having a great Thursday so far!๐ค๐๐ค๐ฅฐ๐ป

Stunning photos. I’m glad the Zoom went well – even if it was set up to impress the SEN District Head! I do love a bit of Magic Dance. One of my favourite films. ๐

It’s one of ours too. Ben sings the song in a grunting “screamo, death metal” voice. Gives it a whole different vibe๐๐๐

A little razzle-dazzle production number never hurts. Unless it’s 2:15 in the morning… ๐

2:15am is perfectly reasonable if one has not yet retired for the evening. As a wakeup time, it both sucks and blows๐ฑ๐
