If you missed the start of this series, you can find it here. A lot of things will be the same or very similar.
I skipped sunset last night. The sky had been pretty much cloudless for several days. The clear blue is beautiful, but the sunsets are almost identical.
We did all the usual “Get Ben Ready For Bedtime” things at the usual times, with the usual prompts and the usual delays.
The Boys were bid Goodnight and Ben’s door was closed. Daughter went to her room, and I did all the usual… sleep claimed me around 12:30am. I woke around 2:00am disoriented and logey. I think it was a busy dream, but I don’t remember now. I settled back to sleep until…
4:00am. Yep! Bounce, ear sniffing, bedquakes and a command to relocate. Happy Freakin Birthday to me! I was too slow getting myself up, so HRH started with the door kicking. UGH! I hollered for him to knock it off, and dragged myself out of bed.
Ben was in major SpazmaTaz mode. He’d dumped dominoes and chalk, plus moved ALL his Kittys to the couch. I carefully chose a path through the disaster and hid in the baรฑo, knowing the banging on the door would soon follow. I got maybe five minutes… maybe.
I got his water bottle for him, grabbed my stuff, waited for the Coffee Dragon to finish the Burble and Hiss, thanking it profusely, then settled on the couch, hoping to doze. Didn’t happen.
Once it was getting light, I started going outside to look at sunrise. No gulls today, but Mister Crow was squawking profusely. I was back and forth a lot cuz Ben kept following me out, and bumping into me. His ADHD was out of control. I was very happy when his med alarm went off, and I couldn’t wait for them to kick in. He was in a good mood, but that kind of manic energy is difficult for me to be around for extended periods, especially when I’m tired.
He did eventually chill out, thank you Adderall, and started doing the chalk thang. Daughter got up and took over around 7:45am. I went to my room, answered couple emails, then got changed to go for my walk.
I went another street further again today. The walk was twenty-five minutes, and is half of what I previously called my “short walk”. It wasn’t taxing and again, I felt like I could’ve done more, but I’m trying to be smart about this. Trying anyway. I found a feather while I was out. It looks like a dove feather to me… grey and tan… Mourning Dove is my guess.
The time between when I got home and noon were a blur of interruptions. Ben, Daughter, Younger, even my mother and my brother. Texts, and calls, and “Hey, Mom…” and “Gramma! I need help!” I was finally able to get to WP around 12:30pm. Tempus Fugit… Boy Howdy, don’t it just!
Ben had been bugging about a new box of chalk for days. He was telling me to get dressed and go to the store, he was saying “I need help! Please!” He actually sounded kinda desperate, poor punkin. My shipment of chalk has been delayed, no arrival date. He has been working with the old chalk, but they’re all pretty worked over. It seems to soothe him, doing his thang. Daughter went and got the very last sixteen piece box and gave it to him. At 2:30pm he took his afternoon meds and some ibuprofen. He was complaining about a headache the other night, and the high pressure often makes my head hurt, an ibuprofen might be just what he needed.
Today for Paula’s Lurve-Fest, I’m loving myself. It’s my birthday and it’s a good day to love me. Lots of other people love me too. I am very blessed!
Just before 4pm Ben sighed, dropped his tablet, and closed his eyes. I asked him if he was going to sleep. He said “Yes, he did.” I jiggled him a little and told him to wake up, but he was already gone. He was on my bed, had been for a while. I went to tell Daughter, she said to let him sleep. That means he’ll be up late tonight. Swell!
Another random playlist song by another excellent band.
Thanks for stopping by and hanging out for my birthday. Thank you for all the birthday wishes and for continuing to support me on this rollercoaster ride I call life at Casa Cuckoo. Daughter goes back to work tomorrow night, I’m going to need to find some more chalk somewhere, or Couch Sittin Duty is going to be very unpleasant.

Happy happy birthday to you!!! Today was my late grandmother’s birthday. A very positive female figure in my life that just emanated love and I have been saying happy birthday to her all day. It makes sense to me that you would share the same day! What a great thing for YOU to love on YOUR birthday ๐ I think that is a great choice. Here is hoping you have a wonderfully chill birthday evening and get a full nights sleep tonight to make up for such an early morning!
Happy Birthday to you!!

Thank you, Sadje!๐ I almost fell asleep around 5pm, but I have an alarm for sunset ๐คท๐ผโโ๏ธ I live by my alarms!! My memory is so bad, I sometimes hit the snooze on Ben’s med alarms if I’m doing something I wanna finish real quick, and forget about getting the med until the alarm goes off again๐๐คฆ๐ผโโ๏ธ๐คฃ
I hope your Thursday has been good, and the day gets better!๐ค๐ฅฐ๐๐ป๐ฆ

Sounds like a rather trying morning but a good day otherwise? I hope so anyway ๐๐. Three cheers for Adderall! ๐
You know, something clicked in my head when you mentioned the connection between higher atmospheric pressure and headaches – I get headaches frequently, and sometimes I can pinpoint a specific reason but sometimes I canโt, so in the latter situations, Iโll have to check out the possibility that I might have a similar issue (?). Definitely worth exploring ๐๐
I giggled throughout your post lolol – โCoffee Dragonโ, โburble and hissโ, accidental selfie, etc ๐. I didnโt even know โburbleโ was a word! ๐. But I dig it ๐
Big olโ birthday hugs to you, Dearest Dude! I hope this kicks off an amazing year for you! ๐โฃ๏ธ๐ป๐โ๏ธโฎ๏ธ๐๐คฉ๐ช๐ฅณ๐โฎ๏ธ๐โจ๐พ๐ฅฐ๐๐๐ด๐ฆ

Thanks Dearest Dude! ๐ค๐ฅฐ๐
It’s a good idea to double check my words. My mind snatches odd words like a Magpie… OOOH, SHINY! but I also make stuff up and spell words weird on purpose, so one never knows๐คฃ๐คฃ
The headache thing… yes! I got Migraines when the pressure dropped. It makes total sense that barometric pressure would affect all the fluids in our bodies. We humans have forgotten (or ignored๐๐คฆ๐ผโโ๏ธ) our connections to the natural world. We need more practitioners like YOU, Dr. Dearest Dude!

Lolol my brain works the same way with words too! ๐. Only you expressed it better than I could have ๐. And I do similar stuff with making up words and weird spellings ๐.
Oooooh yeah I donโt like low pressure. Iโll have to see if it plays with my head ๐
Thank you so much for your encouraging words! ๐๐๐ฅฐ๐๐โฃ๏ธ๐๐๐๐
