If you missed the start of this series, you can find it here. A lot of things will be the same or very similar.
All the clouds we’ve had recently were gone. The sunset was simple and pretty.
Some Parrots did a high flyby, and my friend Phoebe stopped by for a minute. The wind wasn’t as strong, but it was still cold.
We all had a pretty good evening. Bath and bedtime went fine. I did all my usual Stuff and Things. I’m still adjusting to Ben’s schedule being later, which makes MY schedule later… all good. I konked around 11:30pm or midnight.
Several brief wakeups, mainly because Sophie Cat insisted on sleeping ON me. I moved her next to me every time I woke up, then I was waking with her on top of me again. Sigh… The 6:30am med alarm is what finally woke me for good. Very nice!
I don’t know if it was coinkydink or if The Boys heard me and/or the alarm, but they came barreling out of Ben’s room right after I turned the alarm off. Ben ran straight for the baño, and Zeus ran straight for me. I was already getting out of bed, so my ears didn’t get sniffed today.
I went straight to the med box, got Ben’s morning meds, filled the lunchbox water bottle and met him at the baño door, and doped his face. Then I got his big water bottle, his tablet and charger, and settled him on the couch. My turn in the baño. Then outside to look at the sky, and let my Velcro Dog lift a leg.
A delivery truck was parked in the way, so I had sunrise and chips this morning.
Daughter got up around 7:30am and started her Couch Sittin Duty. I went and got Horizontal on my bed and started working through email, yadda yadda yadda. When the alarm for my walk went off, I just turned it off. No snooze today. I planned to go around 10am.
When I hollered out the 9:30am med I reminded myself about the walk. Then when I hollered out the 10:30am med alarm, I kicked my butt into gear and changed clothes. I was still cold, tired and lazy, but I needed to go walk.
I did the same two miles again in thirty-two minutes with two picture stops. One was to identify a tree (my Handy Dandy App says its a peach tree. Hmmm…) and the other was this…

…it makes me think of Anne Rice novels. Anyway, back home and back into my PJs. Back to Horizontal.
Daughter said she was placing a big Amazon order, and did I want to add anything. I told her I couldn’t think of anything. Then she kinda squealed. Okaaay… She started reading out an email she’d just received. “Dear Parents…” after she finished reading the entire thing, I squealed! Starting on April 5th, Ben’s school will be full time on campus. We’re going back to FIVE DAYS A WEEK! Can I get a WOOT WOOT?! Can I get a Hallelujah?! I started singing and Happy Dancing.
Ben came running in from outside, saw me dancing, and asked me for more chalk. We resumed our regularly scheduled programming. I told Daughter I’d order him some more shirts and vests. She suggested more pants too. Three hundred dollars later… Ben will be the most stylish kid at his school. I recently ordered some Hello Kitty disposable masks too. I have so many things being delivered over the next couple weeks, and ninety-nine percent of it is for Ben.
Daughter decided to make adobo for herself, and made some white chicken for Ben around 1pm. He ate part of it, then went outside to sit in the Sun and play with the chalk out there.(Twelve more boxes of forty-eight being delivered today) I was still Horizontal, still working through WP, when I got a notification that Younger had transfered money to me. Nice! She must’ve gotten her refund, her stimulus or both. She’d been worried about it. More Good News!
Ben found some very thin worms that had come up through the cracks between the bricks in the back yard area. We have an area that’s paved in bricks. Anyway, he said we should give them to Sven (so sweet) but I don’t trust the soil under the bricks, so I can’t feed the worms to Sven. I moved them to the soil by the Pecan Tree.
We’re Driving Miss Daisy tonight. First time since the time change. Meds for Ben before we leave, then bath and bed after. Hopefully it all goes well. Sunset might be tricky though. We’ll see how it goes.
Seemed fitting…
Lots of good stuff today! I got decent sleep. I got money from Younger, and I got the super-fantastic news that Ben will be back to full time school soon. It’s so awesome after all the craptacular stuff that’s happened to have good stuff happen. We’re almost at the end of the daily Adventures… I can’t wait to see what happens next!

5 days a week is definitely squeal-worthy! YAY!!!!! I am so happy for you guys!! That is right around the corner. Now that there is a date that has to help so much!! And it sounds like Ben will be the best-dressed kid there. Good times!!
Great job getting your walk in today too! Sounds like a nice chill day but you still got it done – great job!
I hope your night stays super chill and you have a marvelous day ahead!

Thanks, Robyn! 💕I’m still dancing around 🤣 I think it will be a rough transition for Ben at first, but he really is tired of being home all the time.
Tomorrow for my walk, I think that no matter what the temperature is, I should go right after we pick Daughter up from work. If I settle in, even Couch Sittin Duty, I’ll get lazy again. I need to figure out a new route that is at least 2 miles. I’m tired of the same one already 🤣
I hope you get some good sleep and have an awesome GLYSB Day tomorrow!💃🏼🎉🥳💚🍀

Wow, two days from a year. Are you going to do something special? I won’t woot woot (personal reasons) but congrats.

I fully support your choice not to WOOT WOOT. 😆
The only “special” thing I have planned is for the 21st when I compare sunset from September 22nd Autumnal Equinox to March 20th Vernal or Spring Equinox. Theoretically they should be the same. Sciencey Stuff!💃🏼🥳

Theoretically.

That is such a step forward. Will be tough but so worth it. Live your picture stops. ❤️❤️❤️

Yeah. It will be hard for him at first, but his school is so awesome. They really do individualized stuff. They let him spend most of his time outside, and they tailor the lessons to things he likes.
I’m so excited to have more than two days. Maybe I can read a book again😉😆💌💌💌

Fantastic news about Ben’s school! Yay and woot and hurrah! 💚🍀🍏
I received my $1400 in the middle of the night, so I assume millions of others did as well. I’m fully employed, but it’s still great to have more of a cushion against who knows what!

Yeah, Ben’s mama got the $1400 for me this time too. We didn’t get anything for me the last two times☹She claims me… might as well since I don’t file. We have some credit card debt to get rid of🙄 and stylish new clothes to buy for Ben. I’m not comfortable thrifting yet.
We’ve had the luck today 🍀💚💃🏼🥳🎉

The back to school thing makes me joyous for both you and his mom. I can only imagine how hard this past year has been…
Great news! Do they have chalk for him there? Or does Ben not want it at school?

Sometimes he takes some, but they have a huge trampoline, a ball pit, musical instruments, the have a horse they can ride on as it’s walked once a week. It’s a FANTASTIC school. Our school district has to pay his “tuition”, but it’s not a “private school”. They only accept public school kids that can’t be served by their home districts. Ben went through 4 or 5 schools before they moved him to this one. AND he can stay til age 22💃🏼🥳🎉
I’m absolutely buzzing, I’m so happy!😁

Yes it sounds fantastic. And he is fortunate to have such a place. Now, if we can just get rid of the plague and apocalyptical predictions we can get life back on track. 😉

Wow, Angie this is good news. Just 2 more weeks to go. I’m happy that you had more sleep tonight. The pics are great. I love the tree and the one from your walk. Keep up the walking habit!
Take care and sleep well my friend ❤️💝💗

Thank you, Sadje😍 I keep kicking my butt info gear and doing my two miles. It will be easier as it gets warmer, but not TOO hot even in summer.
When Ben is in school I can drive to some of the hiking trails. That will be nice. I’ll have to get some hiking shoes though. 😆 I don’t want to fall and get hurt on my first trail🤣🤣
Have a great Thursday, Teacher Grandma😉💕🌻💐🦋🤗🥰

You’re welcome! I’m so happy that the schools are finally opening. Over here they are expected to open on 29th March. I hope they do.
Hiking shoes are a good idea. Sleep well and I hope tomorrow is a good day. 🌹❤️💗

So many things to celebrate! I would imagine that you’re still dancing. (I even shimmied a little bit all the way over here at Bonnywood, happy that you’re happy.)
Now, your photo that reminds you of Anne Rice novels? Completely agree. It also reminds me of the “ruined finery” line that Mary Astor uttered in “Hush…Hush, Sweet Charlotte”. I know I’ve babbled in the past about how some of your photos would make great book covers, and this is another one. Please tuck a copy in a special “Brian” folder so that, years from now, when I ask if I can use this photo for a story collection, you’ll know which one I’m talking about… 😉

I can certainly tuck the photo away, but you know how bad I am at keeping track of things. It might be better for you to download it and tuck it into your own folder, cuz you know if we start going through old pictures there will be boozey laughter, tears and bad singing💃🏼🎶. Actually, that sounds fun… 😉💖

A good day and I love the photo – it’s got a kind of gothic, haunted feel.

That’s the same feeling I had about the planter or whatever it is. All overgrown and seemingly forgotten.
Definitely a good day! Human nature seems weighted toward remembering bad times, but I want to give more weight to GOOD times🥳💃🏼🥰💌💌
