Just A Quickie

I just wanted to share something that made me super happy this morning. Things continue to be bumpy and it seems to be one thing after another, so anything that makes all the crap fade for a bit is very welcomed.

What was this wondrous event? The flock of wild red-crowned Amazon Parrots were in my Pecan Tree, nom nomming on the unripe pecans.

I took video, complete with sound… what Daughter calls “noise”. I was also able to use 10× magnification for a few (too many) pictures.

And if you guys are truly missing my sunset pictures (yeah right) there are a bunch uploaded in video/sideshow format on my YouTube.

Hope seeing the Parrots gave you a smile like they do me. I’ll see ya tomorrow for our weekly song.

HUGS!!

  1. Wonderful! They are noisy because they want to make sure that you know that they are visiting. Beautiful birds and such a joyful flock. I hope the troubles lessen at your Casa my dear friend. Hugs.

    1. Thanks Sadje! I love the sounds they make and always go running out to the back yard when I hear them😂 They came again this morning (Sunday)!!🦜💕 They leave a mess of dropped half eaten nuts or whole nuts, but no feathers☹

I sure am hoping we can settle into at least an outline routine. I thought things would get easier when school started, but it seems I have less time and more drama rather than the other way around🤪
      I’ll keep hoping😉💕🌻

        1. I haven’t walked in weeks☹ The weather keeps changing. It was over 100 and clear earlier in the week, then we got a crazy thunderstorm and now it’s been cloudy but cooler, but I’m too tired. Zero energy, or I have tons of errands to run.🤦🏼‍♀️ That’s something else I miss… walking. I will start that again hopefully soon also. Everything really has fallen apart these past couple months🤪

At least we’re all healthy and Younger finally, FINALLY got her 1st shot of the vaccine 🙏
          I’ll get it sorted😉
Are you enjoying living in Islamabad? Is your grandson making friends?💕🤗🥰

          1. I think the new meds are making you feel tired plus lack of proper sleep. Walking is good thing and you should resume it when the time and weather are right. We have settled well in our new homes. My grandson is getting used to the new school. Thanks 🙏🏼

    1. They are very vocal, and very loud! When the whole flock moves, you can hear a building roar of their squawking as the come closer.😲

I just wish they didn’t blend in so well with the tree.😆 It’s difficult to see there are probably at least 30 birds in the during the video.

They came again Sunday morning and I Video’d them again😆😂 I may need an Intervention 😉😂😂

How is your clan doing? Settling into routine or is it total chaos?

    1. I have Black Pheobes, Goldfinch, Mourning Doves, occasionally wild Parrots and crows, crows, crows. I haven’t seen the seagulls since last winter. I guess with people out and about more, it’s easier for them to find food at the coast or the landfill🙄

  2. Parrots – pecan trees – what’s not to love?? 😍😍. (I’m here, just plagued by another x-file that took away my breathing and now I’m struggling to breathe and living in terror but that’s neither here nor there 😵‍💫😊💓). Anyway your video rocked and please believe me when I say I just found out you were blogging again because that’s the honest truth! Hope you had Happy Holidays of all types and god(dess) this new year has got to be better for us all 💝💝❣️❣️🌈😘🙏🍀🌴🍀🌺🌸🤸‍♂️🏆🎊🎉🎈
