Thanks to Jim Adams, for hosting Song Lyric Sunday. In Casa Cuckoo news, we actually had a pretty good week. We only had the usual dramas, no new ones. I had to reschedule an appointment with my Primary doctor cuz I hadn’t gotten my lab work done, and Ben’s sleep was still all over the place, but no car crashes, no blinding dental pain, no Kooties or suspected Kooties. If things continue this way, I just might be able to actively rejoin the WP Scene. Fingers crossed!

This week the prompt is – Songs featured in films that made the charts

I know a lot of movie songs, but which ones charted was something I did not know. After a little investigation, I decided to go with one of Ben’s favorite movies, Disney’s 2007 Meet The Robinsons and the song Little Wonders written and performed by Rob Thomas of Matchbox Twenty and solo fame.

Little Wonders debuted on the US Billboard Hot 100 at number 78 and eventually peaked at number 58. It reached number 11 on the Adult Contemporary and number 5 on the Adult Top 40 charts. It also became a top-20 hit in Australia, Austria, and Germany.

I love this song, even without the movie. The idea of appreciating all the small miracles that occur in all of our lives is something I firmly believe in. There is wonder and beauty all around us. It takes a change of perspective to see it sometimes and it’s not always easy, but it can become a habit, a default.
