Goodbye 2022 πŸ‘‹

Hello all my fantabulous WP Dudes! It’s been a while since I’ve been to my blog, and after this, it’s probably gonna be a while longer.

The Cuckoo at the Casa has been next level! Ben being home on Winter Break has been the usual mix of noise, chalk dust and broken things. Added to that is Daughter being bedridden with edema in both legs so bad that she can’t walk… clueless doctorsπŸ€¦πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ She sees a new doctor on the fourth… fingers crossed he has answers.

I’ve got a new wrinkle in my own health woes. A couple actually. My pain clinic has had trouble getting the medication to fill my Intrathecal Pain Pump the past two months, and it has gone completely dry for +/- a week both times.

I also seem to be developing Psoriatic Arthritis. I have Placque Psoriasis already, so I expected the arthritis to eventually follow. My ankle swelled and turned purple again around the first of October and it’s still swollen and purple. My primary “isn’t concerned”πŸ€¦πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ I’ll be seeing a Rheumatologist at the end of March, meanwhile I’m eating ibuprofen like candy. The Methotrexate doesn’t seem to be doing any good yet. I’m on the lowest dose, but it still kicks my butt for 36-48 after I take it.

Anyway… I’m still around. I haven’t given up on blogging for good. I’m just so fried from taking care of Ben and Daughter that I can’t think straight. It has been pretty rough. Daughter has gotten very needy with this whole thing.

This wasn’t supposed to be a “Poor Me” post. I don’t feel that way. I’m still in good shape mental health wise. A little ragged around the edges, but I think there’d be something seriously wrong if I wasn’t. πŸ˜‰

Bye bye 2022… you sucked!πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ Hello 2023, please be kinder to us πŸ™

HUGS!!

    1. 2022 was definitely a challenge!πŸ™„πŸ€¦πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ I’ve been reading astrologers writing about Saturn entering Pisces, my Sun sign… then comes my 2nd Saturn return in Aries… 😲 I’m hopeful that 2023 will be a bit of a breather before shiz starts really going off the rails🀞πŸ€ͺ

  2. Wishing you all the best in this new year and always. I’m so sorry that both you and your daughter are suffering from health issues. I do hope the doctors can find the cause for edema for your daughter. Sending you lots and love and hugs πŸ€—

I’d love some peace, but I don’t think it’s along my pathπŸ€·πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ This has definitely been a life full of lessons!

  3. Excuses, excuses, always excuses …

Why do we even bother with the so called medical profession?

Well l hope that somewhere on the horison you and yours find a pot of good health, money is nice but with poor health how is living worth it. Wow that sounds morbid, not meant to, but sheesh, bloody doctors are the very bane of people lives.

Wishing you a happier new year than the previous cruddy mix πŸ™‚

    1. Thanks JB! We saw a new doctor for daughter and he has some ideas. New meds, higher doses of others. We’ll see.

My pain clinic is unable to get my Pump meds for the 3rd month in a rowπŸ€¦πŸΌβ€β™€οΈπŸ€¦πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ I’d switch clinics if there was another one. All the illegal fentanyl coming thru or under the border 30 miles away, and my clinic can’t get it for a legal, legitimate reason. Irony.

  4. Hello Angie
I’m so happy you finally wrote again. Not sure if you are on any other social media so we can stay in touch.
Interesting to hear your daughter is home with edema. My older son also has had a pluthera of health problems including 2 surgeries. He lost his job a couple of weeks ago to top it all off. Not great to not be insured when you may need to see a doctor.

Andrew is still unemployed. He doesn’t seem to be worried about it, even though his girl friend’s mother doesn’t like him. He is singing in an acapella with close friends and was gifted a new smallish, portable piano for Christmas.

I’m doing well. I’ve been in and out of nanny jobs since Covid started. Have another interview tomorrow evening for watching 2 children two days a week fairly close by. I am a little under the weather as I write this. Not sure if it’s Covid, but tested twice last week when I had similar symptoms and both were neg.

I am sorry about your health. It has to be tiring to handle your daughter’s illness, Ben and his shenanigans and your own personal health challenges.

Take care friend. Happy New Year.
    Teri

  5. You know, I’ve been saying “that was rubbish, the next one is going to be better” every year since New Year’s Eve 2015. Still waiting…
Anyway, nice to see you pop on on WP, good to know that you are still here, and a happy new year to you despite everything.

    1. Happy New Year to you too. It’s great to see you in my comments! I was thinking about you recently too. Maybe you psychically “heard” me.πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Happy early birthday as well. If I remember correctly, you share the date with Daughter πŸ€”
