If you missed the start of this series, you can find it here. A lot of things will be the same or very similar.
I went out to look at sunset, just to see the other parts of the sky, the parts not visible from the side door. I took a picture of the sun at the horizon out of habit and walked around to look south. South was Meh, so I looked east and north. Out of the northeast, the Parrots were coming!
The last three pictures have Jupiter and Saturn. They’re still too close to tell them apart from my viewpoint and with my phone camera. (I’ve taken a few pictures with my camera, but I haven’t figured out how to view them yet, or get them to my phone. I actually may not be able to get them to my phone or tablet. Both are several years old, so they’re “outdated”. I might have to borrow Daughter’s laptop, which I do NOT want to do.)
Ben ate his “orange chicken”, took his meds and I ran his bath and herded him into it. All relatively drama-free. We Drove Miss Daisy on time, wished her a good shift, then went back home. The Boys were tucked into bed, and Daughter was informed we’d safely arrived via text.
Things, Stuff and some Horizontal time. Sophie Cat was very sweet. She cuddled up with me and was all warm and purring… she was trying to make me sleep so I wouldn’t move. I fought the doze, slipping in and out for close to an hour. I finally just made her move. I had an email to write and I needed to eat before could take my meds and sleep.
I wrote the email, heated up some cheesey taters with pieces of ham and extra cheese, nom nom nom’d, texted with the daughters, started slipping into the inevitable Food Coma, jerked myself out of it, took my meds and snuggled under my blankets. It took a while to fall asleep… sometime after midnight.
I woke several times… just about every hour it seemed. I was semi-awake when HRH and the Big Dumb Dog Bounced me at 4:30am. I was able to delay getting up and relocating until 5am.
We all headed to the living room. I got Ben’s stuff and got him settled, then went to the Coffee Dragon, which had awoken at 5am to burble, hiss, and prepare my favorite hot beverage. I poured a cup, patted and thanked the Dragon, then added the sugar and creamer… ahhhhhh! Good Stuff! Then I went out to look at Venus. It was so early still that Venus was barely above the horizon and barely visible behind a tree. I went back inside, then tried again around 6am… much better. I was back and forth, mostly to keep myself awake, until it was time to go get Daughter from work.
We got Daughter from work, came home and settled in. Daughter went to her room, Ben watched his tablet then moved on to the chalk thang, and I resumed Couch Sittin Duty… trying to stay awake.
Ben played, I did Couch Sittin Duty and Daughter slept. It was a very relaxed morning and early afternoon. Ben asked me to Write The Words a few times, and I hear “I need tape!” pretty much every day, but it was calm and easy. Ben was calm and easy.
Daughter got up and took over a little after 2pm. Ben was sitting with me on the couch, watching his tablet. We did the Changing Of The Sitters Ceremony, I got more coffee, then went to get Horizontal. Zeus was already on the bed, claiming his spot, or trying to… Ben followed me and made Zeus scoot. Zeus grumbled, but he moved and Ben laid with me on the bed for a while. He eventually went back to the living room to hang out with Daughter and to play with his stuff.
The Sun is sinking lower, soon it will be time for the PreGame Show… getting Ben fed, bathed and ready to Drive Miss Daisy. Time for me to commune with Mother Nature. I heard the song of a gull a little while ago, but by the time I got outside they were gone. Maybe they’ll come back…
I heard Little Lies on the car radio last night after dropping Daughter at the hospital. I’ve been listening to Fleetwood Mac on the radio in my head all day. I thought I’d play them for all of you too.
Thanks for relaxing with us. The night was rough for me, but chronic insomnia does what it wants to, even when it’s heavily medicated. Tomorrow’s agenda looks a lot like today’s. Hopefully it will start a little later than 4:30am. Daughter gets her first shot of the vaccine tomorrow morning after her shift. She’s off work Sunday, Monday and Tuesday nights, so if the shot makes her a little sick, she can rest. Nothing else is planned. We could use some calm, relaxing days! Maybe Sven will decide to rejoin the family. We never know what each day will bring… we just try to make the most of it, and the best if it. ยกHasta maรฑana!

The moon is lovely. You got the parrots and the moon together in the same shot! I really love the silhouette of the tree branches in the evening sky as well. ๐
I hope daughterโs first shot goes well and the next few days are good and chill. And I hope you can get some sleep ๐ด
I love Fleetwood Mac ๐ถ. Hugs ๐ค ๐ถ๐งธ๐ฆ๐๐ธ๐

Yeah, the Parrots and the Moon together was lucky. They fly SOOO fast, I was just pointing and clicking, hoping they weren’t blurry. I was lucky to catch them coming from the northeast. Usually I’m facing south or west and at sunset… someday i will get some GOOD pictures so you can see their color. They’re a beautiful green with red or violet on their heads or necks.
I need to get away from my house so I can have other subjects to photograph. ๐๐๐ฅฐ๐๐ฆ๐๐ธ

Your subjects are magical and new to me! I donโt get to see them here. I canโt even imagine how it would be to see a wild parrot much less a whole flock of them! ๐ฅฐ๐ซ๐ฆ๐

I forget that the things that are common to me, like palm trees, are NOT common to other people. The Parrots are definitely a unique thing! I love them! Daughter hates them because they’re noisy. She’s a strange one… loves zombies, hates Parrots and doesn’t care about sunrise or sunset. ๐คท๐ผโโ๏ธ๐

Hey Angie, there is a whole flock of Parrots ๐ฆ and the pictures are really great. Very brave of you to go out early morning in the cold to take the photos.
Insomnia strikes without warning. I hope it sleeps next few days and lets you sleep too.
I hope your daughterโs shot is uneventful and worry-free.
Hugs and good night. ๐ด๐๐ค๐

Insomnia is awful! There was no reason for me to be so wakeful. I’d even taken my meds. It does just happen.
I’m hoping it takes a long vacation and lets me be.๐
I hope you have a fantastic Sunday!๐ค๐ฅฐ๐๐ป๐บ๐ท๐๐ผ

I’ve got “Sara” stuck in my head now. ๐ถ๐๐ผ I dont think they made any bad songs. Not all of them were great, but none were bad.๐

That is one of my favorite Fleetwood Mac songs. I haven’t listened to it in ages! I will have to take a listen.
Minus the 4:30 bounce, it sounds like a nice day! That is awesome. Here is hoping for another chill day ahead!

Little stinker stayed up until almost 11pm Saturday night๐คฆ๐ผโโ๏ธ I wish I had his energy! Thankfully he slept, or at least stayed in his room, until 6:30am today!๐๐ผโจ
No GLYSB for either of us. But no Zoom either, so we’ll take it, right?!๐๐๐

I love me some Fleetwood Mac. The “Rumours” album is truly magic in a bottle, a perfect combination of terrific songs. It’s even more amazing that they were able to put that thing together when they were all bickering and fighting with each other. Then again, maybe that’s what made it work so well…

Fleetwood Mac and The Eagles… fantastic unique voices that blend and make magic!
I think the bickering probably added to the magic… either because any intense emotion has power, or a more down to Earth reason, they were trying harder to show each other up.๐คท๐ผโโ๏ธ
I’m still hearing Sara… mostly one line…”undoing… the laces. Ahhh… undoing the laces” okay, that’s 2 lines, but it paints a picture ๐
