If you missed the start of this series, you can find it here. A lot of things will be the same or very similar.
I woke Daughter at 4:45pm per her request but she was feeling horrible. I told her to stay in bed, I’d get Ben fed and bathed and tucked in. She didn’t put up much fight, she really felt awful.
I took a few pictures of sunset while I was waiting for the toaster oven to cook his “orange chicken”.
Ben and his chalk… again, he got into the Zone and didn’t want to eat. I gave him meds and ran his bath at the usual time. He went to bed at the usual time, and took his chicken with him. He ate most of it too.
Daughter got up around 7:30pm and her fever was back. She took some meds to bring it down and got back in bed. She watched some shows and cuddled with her cat, waiting for the fever to break.
I did the usual. I made myself some food around 9pm, and was waiting for it to cool off while I finished an email… and then I woke up around 1am. Dang it! I finished the email and sent it, took my med and thought about skipping the food. I didn’t skip it. I nuked it and ate it. I was drifting off to sleep around 2am when Zeus jumped on my bed and Ben ran past my door. While I was waiting for Ben to come get me, I fell asleep.
Around 4am Ben decided I needed to be awake so he started Bouncing me and messing with me… generally being a SpazmaTaz on my bed, and on me. I tried to ignore him, but he wanted me to be awake.
I gave up and got up around 5:15am. Daughter said she got up at 3:30am cuz she’d heard him playing in the living room. I’d heard her yelling to him from the couch to “leave Gramma alone”, but he obviously wasn’t listening to her.
The sky was overcast and blah, so I got my coffee and went back to my room. Ben had gone back to the living room, having succeeded in his goal of making me wake up and get up, little Bootyhead.
Daughter had a work meeting thingy at 8am. At 7:30am I went to look at the sky again before I had to Drive Miss Daisy and got a ginormous surprise. I spent the next ten minutes taking over fifty pictures. It wasn’t just Georgie and Gracie… it was their whole dang family. (The video is 1:40)
I had to leave all the G’s and take Daughter to her thingy. Ben and I got back and he spent the next two hours needing tape or wanting me to script with him or various other things. He was hyper and intense. It wasn’t bad, but I was trying to edit all the pictures I’d taken and he kept interrupting me. Plus I kept getting robocalls and they were bugging me too. I wanted Peace and Quiet, but I was surrounded with Chaos and Noise. Sigh… another typical Casa Cuckoo day.
Daughter called at 10am for us to come get her. I had started telling Ben at 9:30am that we’d need to get her soon, and gave several reminders before she called. When it was time to go, he suddenly needed to get his Kittys to bring with him.
We picked her up, and when I turned right instead of left toward home, she asked what I was doing. Ben was in the back seat saying “That way!” over and over, so I told her I was going That way, same as I had to do after I dropped her off. We got home and Ben had to beep the horn on the car, then gather up his Kittys, then he got out of the car. Daughter was getting impatient with him, and I told her “Oh yeah, welcome to my life. He’s been like this all morning.” We went inside and got settled.
Ben spent some time in the living room, then came into my room at 12:30pm and demanded that I get dressed and go to the store. I kept telling him he was crazy, I wasn’t going to the store. He wanted “a new Sweeney Todd Barber Chair toy”. I told him, like I always do, that no one even makes that toy. It doesn’t exist. He wasn’t too adamant anyway, just words.
He stole my blanket and watched his tablet in a blanket tent until 2pm or so. Then he got up and went into my closet. I asked him what the Hello Kitty he thought he was doing. He said “I want chalk.” I told him to close my closet and take his stuff to the living room and I’d bring him some chalk. I don’t keep any in the closet anymore, and I didn’t want to reveal any of my new spots.
Daughter was feeling much better today. No fever, and mild body aches was all that was left. Her arm still hurts, but it hurt for several days after the first injection.
So, to summarize, the Pfizer Vaccine first injection caused her arm to be sore for three or four days, but didn’t give her any systemic reaction. The second injection was more painful going into her arm, and she started feeling flu-like symptoms about twelve hours after the injection. She had a fever of 101F (38.5C) off and on over the next twenty-four hours. Forty-eight hours after injection she had mild body aches and felt “blah”, but was improving, and her arm was still sore. Still totally worth it IMO.
Daughter started cooking at 2:45pm. She’s making white chicken for Ben and Parmesan Chicken and Cheese Tortellini soup for us. It’s a good day for soup. The weather turned windy, cool, and cloudy. Plus she wanted to give Ben his main meal early since he got up so early, in case he falls asleep early.
That’s about it for the day. Daughter is off work until Thursday night, so after HRH goes to bed, it should be calm and quiet. Should be. I doubt there will be much of a sunset tonight unless the clouds start breaking up. It has happened before, so it’s possible, but not likely.
What else would I play after this morning??
A weird, disjointed day. Not bad at all, just constantly interrupted and the ever-present lack of sleep, or weird sleep. I haven’t got the faintest idea what is going to happen tomorrow. I guess with tomorrow being Inauguration Day, none of us know what might happen. I’ll be focused on my little world though. Casa Cuckoo keeps me busy enough. ¡Hasta mañana!

I am glad to hear daughter is feeling better than she was and is up and moving around. I agree – I think the aches and pains are worth it to be vaccinated. She must be so relieved, especially in her line of work.
Oh geez, that sounds like a rough night of sleep. I hope that works out for you tonight and you get one of those amazing nights of sleep. Hey, one can wish, right? Have a great night and fingers crossed for a chill day ahead!

I hope you’re finding some Robyn time.🤞💕 I don’t know about you, but I’m not diggin 2021 so far. 🤪🤯

She’s a lot better today. I think it hit her so hard because she was exhausted from 3 twelve hour shifts before getting the shot.
How was the test? They’re pretty quick with results, maybe tomorrow, probably Friday.🤞🤞 Still crossing for you💕

These pictures are so good. Lovely to be visited by so many of seagulls. I’m glad your daughter is better now. I agree it’s totally worth the discomfort to get vaccinated. When it’s our turn.
Hopefully it will be a mellow night for you all. Hugs.

Not a bad night, thank you!🥰 I was so surprised to see al those gulls. There must’ve been about 10 or 12 of them when I first came around the house and walked to the back gate. They were on the shed and circling in the sky. I don’t know what they found, but it must’ve been GOOD to attract all of them. 😉😂
I always seem to be shooting pictures INTO the Sun, so I usually can’t tell if I’ve gotten a good shot until I look at them later. I was surprised that only a couple were out of focus or only showed half a bird🤪😂 Almost all of them were crooked though.🤣🤣🤣 I was just pointing and clicking. I cant believe I took all those pictures in 10 minutes… it took over an hour to edit them all🙄🤦🏼♀️🤪😂
🤐🤐🤐🤐
I start talking about birds and can’t stop myself🙄🤦🏼♀️
Enjoy your Wednesday, Sadje! 😍🥰💐🦋🌈💕

Thank you for sharing the summarization of the vaccination process for Older. Folks need to know that it’s not necessarily a fun experience, but it’s the right thing to do. I was in line at Walgreen’s yesterday, picking up a prescription, and I overheard so many people saying things along the lines of “I ain’t gonna take that mess”. Really? You’re against THAT preventative measure, but here you are, queued up to get your various preventative pills and ointments and whatnot. Suck it up and do the right thing. Sheesh….

Absolutely!! Most of the patients she deals with have other health issues too. Diabetes, heart problems, obesity is a big one (🙄*very punny Angie🤦🏼♀️)
Americans are unhealthy in general. There are lots of valid reasons, and some not so valid, but that’s a whole different can o’ worms.
Daughter is MUCH better today! So, 72 hours after injection she just has some soreness in the injected arm. Totally worth it!

So many people consider them “rats with wings” and it’s kinda true. I live 17 miles (27km) from the ocean so they are this far inland because they are scavengers. They hang out near my house because I live next to a little strip of businesses that includes a pizza place, a little taco shop and a “corner market”. They go for the dumpsters in back, or the stuff people leave in the parking lots.
I do love them though. They are special to me.
